Proeon food supplements: nature at the service of your well-being
In the context of nutraceuticals with an "anti-inflammatory" action and against oxidative stress, some natural substances play a fundamental role in improving resilience and the PNEI system, improving the control of dysmetabolic processes, oxidation and the formation of free radicals: these are polyphenols, nutritional elements that are increasingly appreciated and known through numerous scientific studies, because they can activate a series of extremely beneficial reactions for our body, which help to improve both psycho-physical well-being and our ability to adapt.
The active ingredients of our supplements and their areas of action
Turmeric, for example, is among the most studied compounds rich in polyphenols, with curcumin being the primary one, and has a recognized action of helping against any form of inflammation without the side effects of NSAIDs and corticosteroids.
Among the natural antioxidant substances par excellence, there is maqui (Aristotelia Chilensis), a red fruit typical of Chilean Patagonia, whose berries have a high antioxidant power, by virtue of the considerable content of polyphenols.
In the context of alterations in lipid and glucose metabolism and oxidative stress, among the most useful natural active ingredients we find, in addition to maqui, other polyphenols of undoubted efficacy such as hydroxytyrosol (derived from olive leaves), those contained in amla, as well as the innovative ubiquinol (the reduced and significantly more effective form of Coenzyme Q10) and berberine.
Another substance of proven efficacy for maintaining a correct metabolism of skin, hair, mucous membranes, and joint cartilages is carnosine, with great potential in the context of skin and connective tissue alterations, and more generally, in "buffering" the damage caused by excess carbohydrates. The synergy of carnosine with Hyaluronic acid, methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) and zinc is aimed at the well-being and hydration of the skin and mucous membranes through a protective action in the aging processes.
The regulation of the sleep-wake rhythm, as well as the control of chronic stress, are part of the management of aging processes, helping to improve the PNEI system; a correct integration with melatonin can be useful in these areas. The production of this hormone in our body decreases with age and it is, therefore, essential to reintegrate it adequately as it plays a fundamental role both in regulating the sleep-wake rhythm and the immune system.
Among the various fundamental vitamins for the human body, vitamin C and vitamin D3 (in particular, the latter, in synergy with vitamin K2), certainly have a special role: vitamin C plays an important role in reducing the sense of tiredness and fatigue, protecting cells from oxidative stress. The integration of vitamin K2, in association with vitamin D3, helps to optimize the metabolism of calcium in the ossification process. The synergy of the two vitamins contributes to the normal function of the immune system, as well as to strengthen the bones, reducing not only the risk of osteoporosis but, at the same time, also the risk of cardiovascular disease.
The search for new active ingredients
Another recently discovered substance, particularly effective in these areas, is PQQ (Pyrroloquinoline quinone) from natural fermentation, which has a significant antioxidant and energizing action, assisting in mitochondrial biogenesis, or in the process of growth of new mitochondria and, in general, in mitochondrial function, increasing in particular the quantities of energy produced at the cellular level.
Just as important are N-Acetylcysteine (NAC) and glycine, as "precursors" of glutathione, which, in synergy, contribute to the synthesis of this powerful antioxidant produced by the body, helping to maintain adequate levels within our body.
Proeon® offers a series of high-dose and high-quality products based on the natural principles briefly described above.
